Sean Wiggins, a registered sex offender with a history of criminal activity, has once again been arrested for perhaps his most heinous crime to date – the rape of a two-year-old child. Wiggins, 26, currently held at the Crittenden County Detention Center, previously resided in Johnson County near Ft. Smith where he began what would become a lengthy criminal record of violence and sexual assault, most involving children.
In 2016, Wiggins, then 18 years old and a graduate of Lamar High School, took advantage of a 14-year-old girl, coercing her to run away with him from Springdale to his home in Knoxville, Ark., where he is originally from. Wiggins then engaged in multiple acts of sexual intercourse with the victim. Shockingly, the assaults took place in the same bed Wiggins shared with his _ancée and when the victim refused to participate in a threesome with both, Wiggins became violent.

Charged with sexual indecency with a child and third-degree domestic battery, Wiggins pled no contest to the former and was sentenced to 55 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Despite this, he continued his criminal behavior, later facing further charges of rape, terroristic threatening, and domestic battery offenses after his release.
In 2021 Wiggins was charged with failure to register as a sex offender in Johnson County and given a suspended sentence. In the same year a woman filed a restraining order against Wiggins claiming that he was physically and mentally abusing and that he threatened to kill the woman’s unborn child. He then moved to Marion.
Wiggins, a father of two himself, was arrested again this past Thursday and is being charged with the rape of a minor by a family member or guardian. Judge Fred Thorne has set his bond at 2 million dollars.
