The Avondale Ladies’ Auxiliary will be conducting its annual auction, Monday, Oct. 21 at 1001 Balfour, West Memphis. Everyone is welcome and there will be plenty of refreshments served beginning at 6 p.m. An auction will follow at 6:30 p.m.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In observance of the effort to raise awareness, Oupatient Radiology Clinic of West Memphis will be having a mammogram special Oct. 7-18. During these dates, screening mammograms will be $95. Call (870) 735-5555 to make an appointment.
DAS is having their annual art show at the West Memphis Public Library. The artwork will be on display at the libary during regular library hours through Saturday, Oct. 19. The public is invited to attend and view the work by members.
• Crittenden County NAACP Meeting — The Crittenden County chapter of the NAACP has invited West Memphis Mayor Marco Mc-Clendon as well as Assistant Police Chief Robert Langston to its next regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 21, bginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be hld at 812 E. Broadway. The public is invited.
