Margaret Gordon Brent

OBITUARIESMargaret Gordon Brent, 67, of Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas died Friday, Feb. 12, 2016. Ms. Brent was founder and CEO of Midtown Properties, Inc. and managed several successful farming operations in Tennessee and Arkansas. She was a member of the Hughes Town & Country Garden Club, earning ribbonseach year at the St. Francis County Fair for her caladiums. She attended All Saint’s Episcopal School, Hughes High School, and Memphis State University. She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Riddick Brent, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Amelia Norville of Memphis; her mother and stepfather, Marguerite and J. Leon Beene of West Memphis; a nephew, Gordon Riddick Brent III and his wife, Molly Brent, of West Memphis; a great-niece, Lillian Grace Brent, and great-nephew, Gordon Riddick Brent IV; and a brother, Gordon Riddick Brent, Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Memphis with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery. Glenda Sue Byrd

Glenda Sue Byrd, 69, of West Memphis passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Danny Byrd of West Memphis; ason, Jeremiah Byrd of West Memphis; a sister, Carolyn Perry of Crockett County, Tennessee; and four brothers, Earnest Bushart (Donna), James Bushart (Betty), Roy Bushart, and Donnie Bushart (Bernice) all of Crockett County, Tennessee.
