'First and foremost, Happy New Year. These guys have been working hard since we've came back from break.
First game back is never as clean of a game as you would like, and we definitely went through our parts of the game where you can tell we just didn't have our rhythm. First half I thought we played really well defensively, but we just turned the ball over carelessly too much once we got those stops. Then we start the 2nd half scoreless for the first 7 minutes, and they came out and punched us in the mouth repeatedly. It was our defense that got us back into the flow of things when we got down 8, and we're flying around getting blocks, deflections, diving on the floor for loose balls. Our guys found a way to get it down. They have shown tremendous growth this year. I can't wait to see what else the rest of this year has in store for us. We'll see how this weather plays out over the next couple days and get ready for Shorter on Thursday.' head coach Cody Hastings had to say after the game.
