“Turkey Trot” this weekend
Marion Chamber hosting Thanksgiving-themed community fun run

Are you hot to trot? If not, head to this spot to see how much Thanksgiving spirit you’ve got…
That spot is Brunetti Park in Marion for the first-ever Trukey Trot Fun Run. What better way to get ahead of all those extra holiday season calories than with this community event?
This Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 10 a.m., the Turkey Trot will take place, courtesy of the Marion Chamber of Commerce. The registration cost is $25 and $10 for kids 18-and-under. There will be food trucks on site, as well as an archery demonstration, a petting zoo, inflatables, holiday- themed photo ops, lawn games, a pet parade and contest, and more.

Marion Christmas Parade
The annual Marion Christmas Parade returns on Thursday, Dec. 5, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Marion Shopping Center on Block Street. This year’s theme is “Christmas in Toyland,” and all local community, church, business, civic and other organizations are invited to be a part of the holiday celebration. Mingle & Jingle
The 4th annual Mingle & Jingle Christmas tree lighting festival will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Courthouse Square in Marion. Christmas music, live Nativity animals, vendors and food trucks, letters to Santa and pictures with Santa, the big Greenway tractor, a kiddie train, a bigger and better snow machine and more.
