help!

I recently saw a segment regarding school safety on GMA. Matthew Mc-Conaughey stated that government funds were available but schools were not applying for the grants. He also stated that the funds will not be available in 2026. He and his wife and set up the “Greenlights Grant Initiative” to help schools with the grant application. I’ve notified several local schools but I thought some of you might help spread this info further. It is sad that children are put in danger by simply going to school. Thanks for everyone’s

[ Editor’s Note: That Matthew McConaughey is a pretty coold dude, even if it did take me six tries to spell his name right… I was unawatre of this whole deal until reading this. Sounds good, so maybe some of our local schools will look into it. I’d like to tell you that the actual chances of your child being in the vicinity of a violent- gunrelated incident in school are zero. They are not zero. They are still very, very slim, and O think our school leadership does an excellent job addressing this issue, but you never know what might happen. I don’t think our children “ are put in danger by simply going to school,” but any kind of prevention or intervention initiative is a good one]

*** How do you get on the list for the Thanksgiving dinner food handouts or the Christmas presents for kids that need help? [ Editor’s Note: There’s not actually a “ list” as far as I know. There are several local organizations that put on these kinds of food distributions and holiday gift giveaways. If anyone out there is connected to any of these organizations, I’d welcome contact information]
