JESUP — A Crittenden County man died Thursday in a crash involving an 18wheeler in rural Lawrence County, according to a preliminary fatality report from the Arkansas State Police.
Theotis Crawford Jr., 53, of West Memphis was killed in the crash, which happened around 12:45 p.m. Aug. 1 at Highways 115 and 117.
ASP said Crawford was going north on Highway 115 near Highway 117 in a 2017 International when the crash happened. As the truck entered a curve, the International exited the road to the right, briefly re-entered the road, overturned and exited the road.
From there, the truck impacted a group of trees and came to rest on its top, ASP said.
The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
