SEC suspends tourney action due to storms

AUBURN, Ala. — The Arkansas softball team is the No. 4 seed at the SEC Tournament this week in Auburn, Ala., and had a bye until Thursday’s quarterfinals.

The Razorbacks (36-15, 14-10 SEC) trailed Missouri 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning when their game was suspended Thursday night. The game will resume Friday at 9 a.m. with no outs and Mizzou runners at first and third base.

The winner will meet No. 8 seed LSU on Friday in the semifinals. That game is tentatively scheduled for 3 p.m., but likely will be later due to the Arkansas-Missouri suspension.

All games until the semifinals will be televised on SEC Network. The semifinals and championship will be televised on ESPN2.
