Residents are being urged to take caution as a level 3/5 threat for strong to severe storms is predicted for Wednesday night. The stormy weather is expected to bring scattered storms and showers, mainly north of highway I-40, after 9 p.m. and into Thursday morning.
The primary threats with these storms are large hail and damaging winds. There is also a possibility of a quick, spin-up tornado within the line of storms. As the storms dissipate with rising temperatures going into Thursday, a tornado or two is also possible.
Northeast Arkansas is expecting storms and possibly tornadoes Wednesday and Thursday.
