Join the community in a special fundraiser for the Sultana Disaster Museum, Thursday, April 21, at Bluegrass on the Levee, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Commissary on Mound City Road. This is a free event, but donations are gladly accepted. Live music from Mulberry Jam Band and special guest Marion’s own Bailey Bigger. All proceeds to benefit the new Sultana Disaster Museum.

WMPD Night of Charity The West Memphis Police Department is hosting its inaugural Night of Charity semi-formal event “A Night in Blue Lights,” on Saturday, April 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Radisson Hotel Ballroom, 2007 N. Service Rd. in West Memphis. Special guests will include West Memphis Mayor Marco McClendon, Earle Mayor Jaylen Smith, State Senator Reginald Murdock, Police Chief Robbin Campbell, and Mistress of Ceremonies Ena Esco. West Memphis A& P The West Memphis Advertising & Promotions Commission is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on its board of commissioners.

One seat must be filled by a member of the tourism industry, while the other is an at-large appointment. The A& P Commission oversees the city’s advertising and promotion affairs, including managing the Civic Complex, organizing city festivals and events, partnering with local and national organizations for city projects, and dispersing some A& P tax revenue. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Families in Transition and Survivor Voice are bringing a special awareness event back to Crittenden County this spring. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a fun-filled and informative rally to raise support for stopping violence against women, will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Tilden Rodgers Park. in West Memphis. Free inflatables, kids activities, game, food trucks, vendors, a cornhole tournament, live entertainment, prizes and more.

Resource booths and guest speakers will highlight the awareness portion of the rally.
