All Pro Wrestling had such a good turnout for its first event at the Crittenden County Boys & Girls Club a few months ago they decided to bring their Riverside Showdown back again this past Saturday night.

Another big crowd of about 350 people came out to watch the good guys and bad guys duke it out once again in the ring. Unfortunately for the heroes, like No Pity Smitty, Tommy 2 Good and Fabulous Floyd, it was the villainous group The Frontline who stood tall at the end of the show, laying the smackdown on all the popular stars of APW, including handcuffing new commissioner C.E.O. to the ropes and smashing the good guys with chains, chairs and whatever other instruments of violence they could find.

The crowd also got to see a title change as the Devils Rejects captured the APW tag-team championship from the crowd favorites The East Coast Bad Boys in nefarious fashion as their femme fatale manager smashed one of the Bad Boys over the back with a chair to render him unconscious.

It wasn’t all bad news for the good guys, as Nyxx the Goddess of the Night won against her opponent Rosa “The Diva” Azulita in a ladies’ bout. Nyxx has appeared on a variety of independent wrestling shows recently and is really making a name for herself.

At intermission, the wrestlers came out to interact with the fans, posing for photos, signing autographs and sharing stories with the crowd. Crittenden County Boys & Girls Club executive director Darin McCollum

was pleased with the turnout and the show.

“It’s a fun show, very family friendly,” said McCollum. “I wish I could get every kid to come out to a show and check it out. I’m sure we’ll have them back again.”

McCollum also shared a little more about the show.

“I just wanted to point out that the whole thing was paid for by Esperanza Bonanza,” he said. “They paid the entire fee to bring them in, so everything we make tonight goes right to the Boys & Girls Club.”

All the kiddos love the mysterious Nyxx, the Goddess of the Night.
