Old St. Paul church services

Walk with a Doc

Pediatric Associates of West Memphis and Marion will be hosting “Walk with a Doc,” a doctor-led group walk, Saturday, March 25. from 9 to 10 a.m., at Tilden Rodgers Park in West Memphis. This event is a fun and safe place to go for a walk, learn about health and meet new friends. The event is free and all are welcome. For questions call (870) 732-1191.

Crawfordsville Easter Egg Hunt

The Crawfordsville Community Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. until noon, at the old school yard park. Bake Sale (cakes, pies, cookies, bars, bars), Egg Hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, coffee and juice. Fun for all.

Battle of the Businesses

The Marion Chamber of Commerce wants to find out who has the biggest brains among local businesses at the first-ever “Battle of the Businesses” Trivia Night, Thursday, April 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Depot Pizzeria, 78 Court Street, in Marion. $25 entry fee. WMPD Night of Charity

The West Memphis Police Department is hosting its inaugural Night of Charity semi-formal event “A Night in Blue Lights,” on Saturday, April 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Radisson Hotel Ballroom, 2007 N. Service Rd. in West Memphis. Special guests will include West Memphis Mayor Marco McClendon, Earle Mayor Jaylen Smith, State Senator Reginald Murdock, Police Chief Robbin Campbell, and Mistress of Ceremonies Ena Esco. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

Families in Transition and Survivor Voice are bringing a special awareness event back to Crittenden County this spring. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a fun-filled and informative rally to raise support for stopping violence against women, will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Tilden Rodgers Park. in West Memphis. Free inflatables, kids activities, game, food trucks, vendors, a cornhole tournament, live entertainment, prizes and more. Resource booths and guest speakers will highlight the awareness portion of the rally. Proceeds will support emergency shelter for abuse victims, and advocacy services for abuse survivors. Red Imps Gala

Calling all East Junior High: Tickets are on sale now for the “Remember the Red Imps” Black-Tie Gala, 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the East Junior High Gym. Spring on the Square

Mark your calendars. The Marion Chamber of Commerce, Baptist Memorial- Crittenden, Willowbend of Marion and Southland Casino Hotel present “Spring on the Square” on Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Courthouse Square – an arts and crafts fair, featuring vendors, live entertainment, and art contest, a “Battle of the Boards” and more. MARS Spay & Neuter Clinic

MARS of Crittenden County will hold two more low-cost spay/neuter clinics in 2023: June 13-15, and October 3-5. Spay, neuter and vaccination services will be provided, with additional services available, including heartworm and FIV screening. For more information, visit marsofccar.org.

Delta River Cruisin’

The Mid-South’s largest car show comes to West Memphis Sept. 14-17. Southland Casino will play host to over 1,000 classic cars and trucks. West Memphis Tourism expects thousands of visitors to the community for the 2023 Delta River Cruisin’ Showcase. More details to come.
