MARS of Crittenden County will hold three low-cost spay/neuter clinics in 2023: March 14-16, June 13-15, and October 3-5. Spay, neuter and vaccination services will be provided, with additional services available, including heartworm and FIV screening. The Crawfordsville Community Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. until noon, at the old school yard park. Bake Sale (cakes, pies, cookies, bars, bars), Egg Hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, coffee and juice. Fun for all.

The Crittenden County Extension Office will be hosting a Pesticide Applicator Training session on Tuesday, March 14, at the Extension Office, 116 Center St., in Marion, at 1 p.m. The cost is $20. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Families in Transition and Survivor Voice are bringing a special awareness event back to Crittenden County this spring. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a fun-filled and informative rally to raise support for stopping violence against women, will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Tilden Rodgers Park. in West Memphis. Free inflatables, kids activities, game, food trucks, vendors, a cornhole tournament, live entertainment, prizes and more.

Resource booths and guest speakers will highlight the awareness portion of the rally.

Marion School Board The Marion School District has announced the dates for its monthly School Board meetings for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year.

The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. Remaining meetings will take place on the following dates: March 16, April 20, May 18, and June 15, 2023.

Civil Air Patrol Join the Civil Air Patrol.

The 99th Composite Squadron meets the first three Monday nights each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the West Memphis Municipal Airport, 737 S. Airport Road, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join and get a chance to fly an airplane. Adults are needed to help our cadet program and other areas.
