First Marion Youth Auction

The First Marion Student Mission’s annual Youth Auction is set for Friday, March 3, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., in the Goodwin Life Center Gym at Marion First Baptist Church, 2137 Hwy. 77, in Marion. A wide variety of auction items will be up for bids.

Steak dinner tickets for $20. Dine-in and carryout options available. To purchase tickets in advance, see any FSM youth member or call the church office (870 7393944.

The West Memphis Police Department will be hosting a free community

giveaway, Saturday, March 4, from 9 a.m. until noon, at 101 Polk St., behind the old District Court House.

Sponsored by the West Memphis Department of Community Outreach.

Crawfordsville Easter Egg Hunt The Crawfordsville Community Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. until noon, at the old school yard park. Bake Sale (cakes, pies, cookies, bars, bars), Egg Hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, coffee and juice. Fun for all.

The Crittenden County Extension Office will be hosting a Pesticide Applicator Training session on Tuesday, March 14, at the Extension Office, 116 Center St., in Marion, at 1 p.m. The cost is $20. Boys & Girls Club Spring Sports The Boys & Girls Club of Crittenden County is holding registration for its upcoming spring sports schedule. T-ball for ages 3-5, coach pitch baseball and softball for agesages 6-8, kid-pitch baseball and softball for ages 9-12. Co-ed volleyball for grades k-9th, Coed soccer for ages 3-13.

The cost is $60 per player, per sport ($50 per player, per sport for multiple children in the same household. Registration runs now through Friday, March 17. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion.

Remaining meetings will take place on the following dates: March 16, April 20, May 18, and June 15, 2023.

Delta River Cruisin’ The Mid-South’s largest car show comes to West Memphis Sept. 14-17.

Civil Air Patrol Join the Civil Air Patrol.

The 99th Composite Squadron meets the first three Monday nights each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the West Memphis Municipal Airport, 737 S. Airport Road, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join and get a chance to fly an airplane. Adults are needed to help our cadet program and other areas.
