Are you ready for some more wild weather? If not, best get ready because there could be more headed our way today.

“A couple things to talk about this morning,” West Memphis Of_ce of Emergency Management warned on Tuesday during a morning brie_ng. “Strong southerly gradient winds are expected to pick up tomorrow. Sustained winds of 20 to 25 miles per hour with gusts around 45 miles per hour will be possible. A Wind Advisory may be needed later today or early tomorrow morning, so keep an eye out for that.”

That’s not all, folks. “A cold front will approach the Mid-South Wednesday evening, bringing a severe weather threat that could extend into Thursday,” said Rose There is a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) of severe weather for most of the Mid-South on Wednesday. There is also a 15 percent

chance of storms in the area for Day 4 (Thursday), which would correspond to a Slight Risk as well.

“As of right now, we can’t rule out any modes of severe weather,” Rose said. “Damaging winds, a few tornadoes, large hail, and locally heavy rainfall will be possible, but confidence is low on this event. There are still some timing vuncertainties, but the Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning time frame looks most favorable for severe weather.”

Confidence Levels: High (4/5) for wind impacts, Low (2/5) for severe weather impacts. Additional information, resources and up-to-theminute conditions can be found online at the National Weather Service’s Memphis website: www. weather.gov/meg, or by phone at (901) 544-0401.
