weeks to get ur trash can emptied… speaking for a lot of ppl

I live on the lower end of Avalon, North of Broadway. Not being able to _ush my toilet, sometimes for days, because of rain is unacceptable. The options are leave your home to go elsewhere or go in a bucket. A damn bucket!! Mayor McClendon, you want your taxpayers having to go #2 in a bucket? I don’t give a sht (see what I did there) if all 4 pumps were running. I lost my weekend visitation w/ my child because I didn’t have a working toilet. Think about what your infrastructure cost me. Think about what I lost because I could not _ush my toilet because of YOUR town’s sewer system. Did you lose time with your children because we got a big rain? I did damnit!! Never had this problem in Marion.

[Editor’s Note: First of all, apologies to anyone offended by the mild profanity. I thought it was important to let this individual have their say. Having said that, I live in Marion and I also had this issue a few weeks ago and ended up having to call someone to clear my sewer, so I get your frustration. While I can’t really do anything for you, I can tell you that West Memphis recently received a $2.85 million grant to help fund their massive repair and renovation to the city’s wastewater infrastructure. In the meantime, you might want to contact the West Memphis Wastewater Department about your issue. The number for immediate assistance is (870) 702-5132. Sorry about you missing your time with your kid. Best of luck!] Thought Marion was picking trash up Friday and sat, or do they feel the residents that pay this high a$$ taxes and misc charges to wait two

[Editor’s Note: More profanity? I guess people are pretty upset these days. Well, I can assure you the Marion Sanitation Department was running on Saturday. They collected trash on my street Saturday afternoon. I, of course, did not have my bins at the curb, so I missed out. I don’t know how much of the city they got to, but yes, I suppose some folks had to go two weeks without collection. Our neighbors just burned some stuff. Maybe that’s an option for you?] The hot air balloon looking at secret information has been shot down. No, not ex-president Trump but the Chinese, almost certainly, spy balloon. The spying activity seem odd given that their satellites could provide the same information without any international concerns. It is quite likely that this was just another effort to see what they could get away with and if it succeeded then they would step it up further. There is too much hot air in politics already. Time for some honest discussions. [Editor’s Note: Did you know the Japanese sent bombs across the ocean to the U.S. during World War II? They launched 9,000 of them, but only 300 actually made it to North America. Six people were killed by one of them. The others were largely ineffective. I’m glad we shot this one down, even if it didn’t have a bomb on it. I do think it was a bit of overkill shooting it down with a sidewinder missile. I’ve taken down a balloon with a pellet gun, so I don’t know if a sidewinder was necessary. Maybe Biden just wanted to yell, “Scramble
