You certainly hit the nail on the head in this Wednesday’s Viewpoint.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is going to try and turn this state into a “Christian” haven (not Heaven) and I put those quotes there because the kind of Christianity that her kind preaches is NOT very much like what you read about in the BIBLE. I am very worried what this state is going to look like after four years of her “leadership” and will the people actually re-elect her?
[ Editor’s Note: Let me first say that Sanders was truly and overwhelmingly supported by the voters of this state, so she absolutely has every right to govern as she sees fit. And with a super- majority of both houses of the state legislature and every major state office being held by Republicans she will have no trouble getting her agenda through. And here’s the thing: For some 60% of the citizens of Arkansas, this is exactly what they want. This is the direction this state has been going since Bill Clinton left Little Rock for Washington D. C. in 1992. It was slowed somewhat in the 1990s, but for the past 20 years or so, Arkansas has been steadily becoming more and more conservative. Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with conservative government. What’s wrong is the particular brand of conservative government that you’re seeing here and in states like Florida and Texas, and I assure you this is not what the “ Party of Lincoln” or even the “ Party of Reagan” would want to see happening. And while I’d like to say thanks for agreeing with me, not everyone did. Case in point…]

She is making Arkansas great again just like her old boss tried to do as president and the people are behind her 100%. She is making moves right now to preserve Arkansas and our way of life, to make this state a safer place for our children and drag this state into the 21st century. Just wait and see because she is going to prove all her nay sayers wrong… including you! [ Editor’s Note: Seems more like she’s dragging this state into the 19th century, but you’re certainly entitled to your opinion. I won’t rehash all of the issues I have with the new governor here, but I would be happy to be wrong here]
