I see on the local Facebook pages people complaining about the people… and YES they are PEOPLE… asking for money at the red lights in West Memphis.

Y’all need to stop and think about your hatred of poor people and why you feel the way you do when you see someone begging.

Really do some self reflection. Maybe start hating the system that put these people in these positions and did not take care of those with mental health issues and no support system.

It truly does. However, I know there are plenty of people who have simply made panhandling their “ job,” rather than, you know, seeking gainful employment. And I don’t mean like, “ I bet that’s what they are doing.” I mean it like people in this area have been filmed getting dropped off to stand out at the traffic lights and then get picked up at the end of the day. And whatever reasons these folks have found themselves doing this, it certainly isn’t going to sit well with people who see them out there getting “ free” money as they are on their way to work. Did you know there are actually Facebook pages dedicated to tipping people off about the best places to beg for money? There’s one called “ Squat the Planet,” and yes, in case you were wondering,
