Marion School Board Meetings The Marion School District has announced the dates for its monthly School Board meetings for the 2022-23 school year. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. Remaining meetings will take place on the following dates: Jan. 19, 2023; Feb. 16, 2023; March 16, 2023; April 20, 2023; May 18, 2023; and June 15, 2023.

St. Michael’s Catholic Parish hosts Tuesday Night Bingo every week. Open to everyone ages 18 and up. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Games begin at 7 p.m. Smoke free and alcohol free.

Civil Air Patrol Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program.

Crittenden County Health Unit The Crittenden County Health Unit will have special extended hours every Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. These adjusted hours give the unit the opportunity to stay open later to accommodate those who are not able to come during normal business hours. Clinical services that are available include: Women, Infants & Children (WIC), nutrition counseling and support, birth control pickups, Depo shots, sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening and services, and immunizations. Volunteer Drivers Needed Jim Fiveash, the commander of the American Legion Post 53 needs Volunteer Van Drivers to transport veterans who live in Crittenden County to their VA appointments at the Memphis VA Medical Center and the new Primary Clinic in East Memphis. ASU Mid-South Degree Center Offering admission, advising, and scholarship information/assistance for students interested in attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro on the ASU Mid-South campus. Students can major in Criminology, Business, Nursing, or Education and live locally.
