Marion Christmas Parade

“Sparkle and Shine: It’s Christmas Time” in Marion. The city’s 23rd annual Christmas Parade will be Thursday, Dec. 15, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The parade will start at 120 E. Block St. and head east on Old Military Road until it reaches Highway 77. Sponsored by the Marion Chamber of Commerce and the Marion A& P Commission. Visit marion archamber.org for more information.

Holiday Gala

Come join the West Memphis- Marion Alumni Chapter for for a night of fun and entertainment! This fundraiser raises money for their Achievement Foundation that supports their Guide Right Programs. These programs consist of Kappa League (Mentoring Programs), ACT Preparations Classes, Kappa Kamp (STEM Classes), school assistance funding and scholarships for students during their college careers. DJ Tim Bachus will be in the building that night doing what he does best getting people out of their seats on the dance floor. There will be great food! This event will be located at Radisson West Memphis, 2007 E Service Road, West Memphis, on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are on sale now for $50 each or $300 for a table of six. Marion School Board meetings

The Marion School District has announced the dates for its monthly School Board meetings for the 2022-23 school year. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. Remaining meetings will take place on the following dates: Dec. 15, 2022; Jan. 19, 2023; Feb. 16, 2023; March 16, 2023; April 20, 2023; May 18, 2023; and June 15, 2023.

Hops & Hounds

Furgiven Animal Sanctuary of West Memphis will be hosting a “Howliday Pawty” to support their mission. Friday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Grind City Brewery, 76 Waterworks Ave., in Memphis. Live music, silent auction, catered dinner, unlimited tap, Patches meet & greet, and more. Tickets are $100 each or 2 for $175. 4 for $325 and 6 for $475.
