Fundraiser spreads holiday cheer, raises money for good cause

It was a good time for a good cause. The Christian Motorcycle Association and Ethel’s Old Airport Lounge welcomed Santa Claus to town with a community pancake breakfast this past Saturday and invited all the naughty and nice boys and girls of Crittenden County to come out for pancakes and photos with Jolly Old Saint Nick.

There was more than just good food and holiday cheer at work. Although the photos and flapjacks were free for everyone in attendance, the CMA and Ethel’s crew were playing elf, collecting donations for the annual Bike for Tykes community Christmas bicycle distribution. Now in its eighth year, Bike for Tykes distributes more than 100 bicycles to kids in need at Christmas. This year, they hope to hand out 150 bicycles.

To be a part of this year’s Bikes for Tykes, it’s not too late. Any and all donations are gladly accepted. Call Ethel’s Old Airport Lounge at (501) 757-1955 or Kerrigan Timms at (901) 832-8332.
