Earle 32, EPC 26

The Earle Bulldogs high school football squad pulled off the upset in their 2A North conference matchup this past Friday against previously undefeated East Poinsett County. The Bulldogs battled hard and came away with a 32-26 win over the Warriors at home.

The win puts the Bulldogs back above .500 again, at 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.

Earle will attempt to stay on the winning track as the season rolls on. The Bulldogs will hit the road and travel to McCrory to take on the 1-6 Jaguars this Friday night, with kickoff at 7 p.m. in McCrory.

Abundant Life 47, WMCS 34

It was another tough road assignment for the West Memphis Christian Black Knights as they dropped a hard-fought game to Abundant Life in North Little Rock, falling 47-34 to the undefeated Owls.

It was the Owls’ eighth straight win of the season and Abundant Life’s Homecoming game. The Knights, with the loss, drop to 2-7 on the season This Friday night, WMCS will be back at home to take on Kemper Academy my, out of De Kalb, Mississippi, in front of the Black Knight faithful, hoping for a return to winning form. Knights vs. Rams. Game time in West Memphis is 7 p.m. It is the final home game of the 2022 season for WMCS.
