It is time for a change! It’s sad but we probably won’t get it because “WE THE PEOPLE” won’t get out and vote. We never do.
Look at the voting record and you will see than not even half of the voters vote in these elections. It is going to be even lower this time because we are not voting for president.
Maybe it is time to make voting mandatory in this country like in other countries?

You don’t say at what level this “ change” is needed…
National? State? Local? In any event, you are correct in that voter turnout is usually quite low, especially in this area, although voters have shown they can and will turn out when there’s something to spark their interests. Maybe the local elections are tight enough for that next month? I will say, though, that I don’t think mandatory voting is the way to go. You mention that “ other countries” have mandatory voting, but as far as I can tell, there’s only one… and it’s North Korea, and I’m not sure we want to be copying our political strategies from one of the world’s last true dictatorships. But for real, y’all… get out and vote!]
