Earle 50, Central 42

The Earle Bulldogs high school football squad got a win under their belts last Friday night, as they defeated the host Central Cougars (West Helena, AR), 50-42 in Friday’s non-conference bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs will face the Corning Bobcats in a final non-conference tuneup on Friday, Sept. 9, before entering tough 2A North play on Friday, Sept. 23 against Des Arc. Earle will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record against the Bobcats on the road in Corning.

WMCS 44, Hebron 14

The West Memphis Christian Black Knights improved their 2022 record to 2-1 with a 44-14 win over Hebron Christian Academy of Pheba, Mississippi.

The Knights defended their home turf in front of a spirited home crowd this past Friday night, setting off the fireworks for the WMCS faithful once again.

This week, West Memphis Christian hits the road, looking to pick up their first away game win of the season, taking on Deer Creek School down in Arcola, Mississippi.

Marion Patriots

The Marion Patriots (0-1) were idle last week. Marion returns to action this Friday at home, taking on El Dorado. Game time at Premier Bank Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

West Memphis Blue Devils

The West Memphis Blue Devils (1-0) were idle last week. West Memphis will hit the road this Friday night, traveling to Jacksonville for the Devils’ first road game of the season. Kickoff in Jacksonville is scheduled for 7 p.m.
