When it comes time to vote, does a candidate’s position on the ballot really make a difference? Perhaps not, but many may recall the “confusing” ballots in the 2000 presidential race that caused some doubt to be cast on the outcome of the Florida results.

When Crittenden County voters head to the polls in the Nov. 8 midterm elections, they will have many choices to make, and now voters and candidates alike will know what the official ballot will look like after candidates had an opportunity to draw for ballot position during last Thursday’s Crittenden County Election Commission meeting.

Voters will be selecting their preferences from among more than a dozen state and county races, as well as a number of voter-led and legislative- driven ballot measures and initiatives.
