West Memphis School District staff, students make return

WM School District After a much-needed summer break, school is back in session for the West Memphis School District.

With cheers, pom poms, and many “Happy First Day” signs, some community cheerleaders led the charge on the first day of school.

Faith International Ministry Church Pastor Anthony King, Superintendent Richard Atwill, and members of the Faith International congregation stood on a handful of West Memphis street corners on Monday morning.

“I saw so many people smiling and waving, and it was a Monday morning.” said Mr. Atwill.

“We partnered together, cheering parents and children back to school.” commented Pastor King.
