which should have read, “ Lawyer: ‘ Judge

Who wrote the Echols story in Wednesday’s paper? It says “By… but then it just says “Lawyer” and I don’t think the lawyer wrote than so, what’s going on here?

[ Editor’s Note: Gonna be honest here and say I had no clue what you were talking about until I went back and looked at Wednesday’s front page. And yes, I can see why you’d be asking.

So, every news story has three “ headers”… the headline, thes sub- head and the byline. Well, it looks like through some kind of formating glitch, the byline, which should have said, “ By Ralph Hardin, ralphhardin @ gmail. com” and the subhead,

buried hope…” got smooshed together during the “ pagination” process, which is when the text is moved from the word processor to the layout. I went back and read through and I don’t see anywhere else that there was an issue so hopefully it was just a one time hiccup and it wasn’t too confusing for anyone out there…]
