Blues Off Broadway

Main Street West Memphis presents the return of Blues Off Broadway, featuring free live music every Thursday in May, from 6 to 9 p.m., 212 W. Polk. Blues, Brwes & Food. Ditching the Cape

“You don’t have to be a hero all the time.” Saturday, May 21, the West Memphis Area Alumnae Chapter’s Mental Health Committee presents a special event at the West Memphis Public Library, 500 E. Broadway. Come learn about important self-care strategies, the effects of stress on your physical, mental and spiritual health, and how keeping the “cape” on can ultimately hurt you more than help you. Woolfolk Library Summer Program

The Woolfolk Public Library in Marion is bringing back its Summer Reading Program after a two-year hiatus. “Imagine Your Story” this summer, with a full slate of fun and educational events, beginning Tuesday, June 7 with the Summer Reading Kickoff, and continuing throughout July. Low-cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic

MARS of Crittenden County is hosting a lowcost spay and neuter clinic June 7-9 at the West Memphis Animal Shelter. Cats are $50 and dogs are $80. The price includes a rabies vaccination. Applications can be found at the MARS of Crittenden County website (marsofccar.org). A completed application and a $20 deposit is required for each pet to secure your spot and schedule your appointment.

Youth Explosion

Philadelphia Outreach Ministries of West Memphis presents the 2022 Youth Explosion, Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m., 407 Birch St., in West Memphis. Food, music, vendors, games and fun. Free admission.
