[Editor’s Note: I think some of your timeline

What’s with the slow construction at the schools? The sign at the new West Junior High School says Phase 1 was to be completed by fall 2021, and Phase 2 would be _nished by fall 2022. We’ll here it is almost summer 2022, and Phase 1 is nowhere near completion. For the last couple years people have been asking me what that big gray building is that’s going up on the east end of Broadway. Three weeks ago I passed it on my way to Memphis with my employer, saw it’s the new Wonder Junior High School, looks like they just got started. And they’ve been working on it for the last couple years. Then, there’s the remodeling of the gymnasium at the High School. They started that project before I took my trip to Virginia back in 2019, and they’re still not _nished with it. I recently found out that the contractor that’s doing all of this has been awarded the contract to remodel the Band Room at the High School. So I guess our school system is going to be like the Interstate Highway System: never-ending construction.

is a little off, but in any event, the plan is still to have students in the new West Junior High at the beginning of next school year. I think they might be a little further along than you think. My son teaches there and he says they have already toured the new school. As for the new Wonder Junior High (which will combine East and Wonder), they’re not scheduled to move in there until the following school year (2023-24) so don’t you worry. I’m pretty sure they’ve got it all

I see where TDOT is just bullying on through with their roundabout and closing down the old bridge. Guess all that “reconsidering” was a bunch of stalling and BS huh? Boy I sure hope there’s not another crack found in the new bridge or something! [Editor’s Note: Yeah, that would be terrible. Honestly, just closing the old bridge down to one lane (for three years!) is bad enough. I know I won’t be heading over into Memphis during all that time if I can help it… and I’m lucky enough that I can help it. God bless those who have to do it on the regular … or even daily]
