The Marion School District is hosting flu clinics for staff and students on the following dates: Oct. 15 PVA, MJHS; Oct. 18 HCGC, 7th Grade, K-8, ALE; Oct. 19 – MST, Oct.

20 – MHS and Central Office. Parents can fins flu vaccine paper packets sent home with students on Monday, Oct. 11 for more information.

A free-to-ride event for all that wish to honor our fallen. Donations are welcome and will be given to a veteran charity organization.

Veterans Day Parade Save the date! The West Memphis Chamber of Commerce is holding its first Veterans Day Parade in more than 50m years.

The city will honor its servicemen and servicewomen on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, with a free community event beginning at 10 a.m. at Lehr Arena. The parade will make its way down West Broadway and end at the VFW post on South Avalon. Marion School Board Meetings The Marion School District has released its calendar for the monthly School Board meetings for the 2021-22 school year. All meetings are held at 6 p.m., at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. Meetings will take place on: Oct. 21, 2021.

Nov. 18, 2021, Dec. 16, 2021, Jan. 20, 2022, Feb.

17, 2022, Mar. 17, 2022, Apr. 21, 2022, May 19, 2022, and June 16, 2022.

The public is invited to attend.

Bingo Night St. Michael’s Catholic Parish hosts Tuesday Night Bingo every week.

Esperanza Bonanza Marion’s annual festival is moving to the fall.

Wednesday, Oct. 20 through Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Marion Recreation Complex. Cooking contests, carnival rides, live music and more. Free admission. $20 wristbands (two day wristbands $35).

Hours are 4 to 10 p.m.

Civil Air Patrol Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program. Adults are needed to support the cadet program and emergency service operations.

Crittenden County Health Unit The Crittenden County Health Unit will have special extended hours every Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. These adjusted hours give the unit the opportunity to stay open later to accommodate those who are not able to come during normal business hours.

Clinical services that are available include: WIC, nutrition counseling and support, birth control pickups, Depo shots, STD screening and services, immunizations and family planning clinic.
