[ Editor’s Note: I

I think if I needed the police right now, I would just take my chances instead of calling them as unorganized and incompetent as their leadership is right now.

get that there are some people who are very frustrated with the ( I’m assuming West Memphis) police department, but I don’t know if that necessarily trickles down to the competence and commitment of the officers who are putting their lives on the line and patrolling the city streets.

Also, just as a side note, I’ve mentioned several times that I do not save numbers or messages that I get on the Text the Times phone, but after a while, you start to remember some of the frequent texters’ numbers even if you don’t have a name to go with it, and it’s very clear that for whatever reason, this particular issue is very personal to whomever is on the other end of tmost of these texts I’ve been getting about the WMPD lately…]

to enter. Guess I won’t be going to any Grizzlies or Tigers games this season!

[ Editor’s Note: Yes! That’s it! Someone gets it! That’s how your “ freedom” works here… You need to follow certain guidelines and protocols to stay safe and keep everyone else safe. And if you don’t want to do those things, like get a vaccine or wear a mask, then you have the freedom to stay in your own home or don’t do business with companies who are doing the things that are being recommended to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Well said!

I’m done with trying to support our local businesses. The prices are too high, the service if you can get it is terrible and the food is low quality. I guess I’ll just eat at home or go to Memphis to eat out from now on. [ Editor’s Note: Yes! That’s it! Someone else also gets it! That’s another way your “ freedom” works here… If you are displeased with a business, you can spend your money elsewhere. Hopefully, wherever it is you do decide to spend your money, they aren’t also dealing with a massive labor shortage or supply chain nightmares. But for real, though, as much as I like the convenience of eating out, it just makes so much more sense to eat meals prepared at home, especially if you have kids.

It’s cheaper, you can cook what you want, and in the current coronavirus environment, it’s certainly safer than eating in a room full of other people…]
