Mississippi man in custody, facing felony charges

news@theeveningtimes.com Arkansas Troopers pulled over and arrested a Byhalia man suspected in an Interstate 55 shooting on Tuesday, September 3. The ASP responded to the shooting scene on the Northbound side just inside the Arkansas state line.

The Arkansas State Police alleged that 62-year-old Gerald Koelling fired a gun at another car and charged him with Committing a Terroristic Act.

The driver was not injured but a bullet hole was discovered in the vehicle.

Police pulled Koelling over In Crittenden County at the Poinsett County line.

The shooting was the third one on Interstate 55 in the county this summer.

West Memphis Police arrested David Allen Jackson for the previous two incidents after riddling two different trucks on two different occasions on southbound Interstate 55 near Port Road this summer.

One trucker was struck, treated at Regional One and released.
