Bubba was a special child born in West Memphis, AR. He attended and graduated from Happy Time School, which later grew and became Steudlein Learning Center, which is still an active school for “special children.” He worked at the Sheltered Workshop, where he broke down boxes to be packaged and reused. He made many friends who still work there and Bubba kept in touch with them all. He participated in the Special Olympics where he won several blue and red ribbons.

The family moved to Mississippi in 1992 and Bubba quickly found his place in the house and among the church community. He sang a duet with Bro. Billy Nelson once in church and it made his world. He lived and he loved. He loved all the good ole hymns and all the best of country music and a little bit of that good old rock and roll. But out of all he cherished his family the most, and they will miss him dearly.
