Eugene Shelton
Eugene Shelton, formerly of West Memphis, passed away on Friday April 2, 2021, in Grand Rapids MI.
Eugene was born January 20, 1950, to the late Mr. Joe T. Shelton and Bertha Shelton (Toliver) of 12th Street. Also preceding him in death was his grandmother Annie Bell Shelton of West Memphis AR, his brother Leodis Woods St. Louis MO, his sister Mildred Randolph of West Memphis AR, and his Sister Georgia Crain of Flint MI. Eugene leaves to mourn his passing three sisters Lena Shelton Adams( James) of Calabash NC, Betty Shelton Hamlet( Mark) Collierville TN, Lavelle Shelton Lewis(Butler) Memphis TN. He also leaves two brothers Joe T. Shelton Jr. of Los Angeles CA, Lee Shelton(Kathy) Baltimore MD. Eugene had a very special friend and family in Michigan Mary Beecher(Valreie, Jack, Analise, & Hope). Also in Michigan Tyrone Woods and Ms, Connie. Gene leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him greatly.
One of our fundest memories of Eugene was his drum major performance with the Wonder High School Band.
