[ Editor’s Note: Assuming you are talking about a COVID- 19 vaccine and assuming you are in the qualified A1, B1 or C1 eligible groups, you can call 1- 800- 985- 6030 to register for a coronavirus vaccine clinic going on right here in the community through Friday afternoon, assuming there are any open slots. If not, you’ll have to keep trying Walmart and Walgreens like the rest of us. The Marion Family Pharmacy also has them, but like I say, you have to qualify and have to catch them when they have appointment slots available. Best
*** Glad to see so many of our local banks are supporting the Sultana Museum. I know that a lot of people think it is just boring old history but it is a very important part of civil war history and local history and it will being people into the city who will spend money on our local restaurants and gas stations and hotels. #supportthesultana [ Editor’s Note: I agree completely. I know a few years back we sort of ran the Sultana into the ground in the paper, and people got tired of it. My boss at the time called is “ Sultana Fatigue”… so I get it that the local excitement has sort of worn off, but this new expanded museum really will draw interest from all over. People do indeed love history, and Civil War history is right up there with World War II as far as what topics people are interested in, so while I don’t think we’re in danger of being over run by Sultana groupies or anything, the investment by local and area businesses is, I think, a worthwhile one]
