Fatal crash in Crawfordsville


West Memphis man killed in collision Arkansas State Police reported a fatal crash in Crawfordsville. One fatality and one injury resulted after the near midnight collision on November 10 at the town's crossroads at Highways 50, Drane Road, and 64.

According to Trooper Donnie Cheers, Nicholas Lakeif Carter, age 39 of West Memphis, lost control of his four year old Toyota Corolla swerving left across the highway and reentered the highway crossing four lanes of traffic before colliding with an eastbound Dodge Ram 1500 truck driven by Rosie Mems, age 55 of Earle.

The crash killed Carter and injured Mems. The trooper called for emergency transport and Mems was taken to Baptist Crittenden for treatment of her injuries in the crash. Weather conditions were reported clear and dry at the time of the crash.
