Hot Springs Couple facing multiple drug charges

A couple from Hot Springs Nation, Arkansas, finds themselves behind bars after running afoul of the law last week.

■ ■ On Thursday, April 2,

Kimberly Suzanne Ross,

42, and James Reginald Pitts, 34, were arrested in Crittenden County on a slew of charges. Both are charged with Forgery, Possession of Drug Para phernalia (Felony), Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with the Purpose to Deliver (Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine or Cocaine with the Purpose to Deliver, and Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver. They are being held at the Crittenden County Jail on $75,000 bond each.

■ ■ On Monday, April 6, Darren Hawkins, 25, of West Memphis, was arrested on gun and drug charges. Dawkins was arrested around 3:40 p.m., for Possession of Methamp hetamine or Cocaine (Less than 2 grams), being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms. He is in custody at the Crittenden County Jail on a $150,000 bond

■ ■ On Monday, April 6, a Forrest City man was arrested on Theft of Property charges. Just before 3 p.m., Elnorris Smith, 66, was arrested in West Memphis. He is in custody at the Crittenden County Jail awaiting a bond hearing on those charges.

■ ■ On Thursday, April 2, Robert Tr a m a m e Compton, 29, was arrested after attempting to flee from Marion Police. Compton was charged with Criminal Trespass in or on a Vehicle, Structure or Premises, as well as Fleeing and Resisting Arrest. He is in custody at the Crittenden County Jail awaiting a Plea and Arraignment hearing.

■ ■ On Friday, April 3, Tristan Russell Cox, 18, of Marion, was arrested a little after 1 a.m., on a slate of charges. Cox is charged with Possession of a Schedule IV or V Controlled Substance (less than 28 grams), Careless and Prohibited Driving, DWI (Drugs), Criminal Mischief in the First Degree (Property Damage over $5,000 but less than $25,000), and Criminal in the First Degree (Property Damage of $1,000 or less). Cox was released on bond on Monday afternoon after spending the weekend in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
