The City of West Memphis is encouraging residents to use precaution when leaving their homes during the coronavirus pandemic. The city is keeping city parks clean and disinfected daily, so playground equipment and fishing areas are safe, but social distancing and hygiene are key to keeping clean. East Arkansas Family Health Center staged a coronavirus testing clinic on Wednesday. One attraction residents will not be able to enjoy in the immediate future is the Big River Crossing, closed due to elevated river levels. Though closed to patrons, Southland Casino Racing partnered with Hope House Ministries to help distribute food to those in need during the crisis.
