Elias Romero “Leo” Trevino , 71, of Proctor, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, after a very long illness. In his last days, Leo was surrounded and supported by his family.

Leo was born in Rosita, TX. on July 18, 1948, son of the late Encarnation & Petra Trevino. He is survived by his Wife, Jane Rivera Trevino and three children (spouses): Sylvia Trevino Elrod, Leo Trevino Jr., Augustine Trevino, (daughterin- law Stacie Trevino and son-in-law David Elrod). Twelve grandchildren: Candace, Ciara, James, Presley, Trevor, Mia, Teya, Allen, Hunter, Dillon, Logan and Hannah. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Leo was one of thirteen children who loved and cared for his siblings deeply. He is survived by brothers Hilario, Ernest, Raymond, Johnny, Tony, Arthur and sisters Estella, Olivia, Elsa, Rosie and Linda. He was preceded in death by and reunites with his sister Alicia.

Growing up in a home with many siblings and two wonderful parents, Leo lived a life full of much love and laughter.

Upon meeting his honey at the age of 17, Leo instantly fell in love and they married on March 26, 1967. Their children will remember Leo as being the “best dad ever” who taught them some of their most valuable lessons in life.

Leo was renowned for his love for the Lord, and will be remembered by his church, St. Michael’s, where he was a devoted member of their parish for the majority of his life. He is remembered by many for his evangelistic nature and always letting the Father’s voice speak through him when speaking to others.

Leo loved to spend a lot of his weekends watching Fox News, football and hosting family gatherings at his home. Leo will also be remembered as a hard-working man, before retiring in 2017.

Leo worked at Trumbo, where he spent 36 years surrounded by many people who looked up to him and will also miss him deeply.

Visitation and Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. Interment was at Crittenden Memorial Park.
