The Greyhounds returned to The Dog House Saturday for the first time in four games and treated the home crowd to a 90-64 victory over Region 2 opponent South Arkansas Community College.

After playing eight of their ten January games on the road, the Greyhounds tipped off a February schedule playing seven of their final eight games at home. And in building a 15-point lead at the half were able to cruise the second half to the win.

ASU Mid-South limited the South Arkansas Stars to 38.1 percent shooting from the field and just 4-of-21 (19.0 percent) from the three-point line despite shooting only 8 free throws to the Stars’ 15. With only a slight rebounding edge (38-36), the Greyhounds used 52.1 percent shooting from the field and 11-of-26 (42.3 percent) shooting from the arc while committing only 9 turnovers to the Stars’ 18.

Ike Moore scored 19 of his game-high 22 points and Jalen Lynn added 15 of his 21 points in the first half as the Greyhounds took control late in the half.

Moore also dished out a game-high 6 assists and he and Lynn both collected two steals each. Then in the second half, Kevin Fulton caught fire, hitting 4-of-5 three-pointers and scoring all 14 of his points in the second frame. Garret Finley added 10 points and a game-high 7 rebounds while Zach Byrd also pulled down 7 boards to go with 8 points.

ASU Mid-South (18-5) hosts Crowley’s Ridge College junior varsity on Monday at 6:00pm before a Region 2 matchup against National Park College Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
