Maddux Study Buddies

Get a buddy and study!! The Maddux Elementary Study Buddy program is a 6th-grade good behavior incentive that pairs a sixth-grader with a kindergarten student or first-grader to focus on letter, number and sight word recognition and math facts. Maddux started the program under coordinator Dana Dickson two months ago and it has grown from 10 to over 50 students. All that book learning paid off last week when the Maddux Quiz Bowl Team (below, right) celebrated a win over Weaver Elementary 150-80.
