Exercise your Demons (that’s not a typo)

I want to share a little bit of a message that God shared with me.

As you know when you can’t sleep is when God is letting you know it’s time for Him to get your attention. He does that to us often but sometimes we choose not to listen.

I learned to listen. So it’s time to share.

When your body gets a bruise, a cut, or illness, one of the first things you are told to do is stay hydrated and make sure you are eating enough of the right foods and rest. So basically, in order to heal properly, you have to do all of those things, right?

So what do you do for mental and emotional hurt?

The mental and emotional hurt is usually things that we try to deal with by ourselves.

We mask it with food, alcohol, exercise or anything that will take us away from the true issues in our lives. Science says when you are hurt add 500 calories to speed up the healing process.

What about mental hurt? Mental and emotional hurt drives us to our Safe place, food, exercise, or even loneliness. Some of us overeat, hide eat or not eat as a way of dealing with the hurt. Our emotional and mental state is always being affected by our past — what has been done to us or what we have done to someone. This is what causes all of our issues.

Exercise is my safe place due to the loss of my mom and dad to health issues. I try to save people the same way God saved me.

Now He has given me true way to help others and that is to help them to understand the Hurt so they can begin the Healing process.

Exercise is the vehicle for me as well as other trainers use to get out clients to prepare for healing and to make the stronger for the next round of hurt.

Hurt is always gonna come. How we deal with it is the true value of life. There is more to come. Stay tuned!
