West Memphis Christian School hosted Marvell Academy Friday night but both the visiting boys and girls team wore out their welcomes with victories of 25 points or more.

The games mirrored each other with WMCS point guards getting in early foul trouble and coach Josh Pardue juggling players.

Both the boys and girls varsity logged a couple of road victories during Christmas vacation, but the early foul trouble against the Marvell Academy Eagles quickly depleted the bench and the teams ran out of gas while the Eagles ascended to double digit pull away victories.

The Black Knights fell to the Eagles 63 – 36 with the loosing margin of 27. Zane O’Quin led the team scoring with 15. Austin Larue swished a pair of threes to finishing in double digits with 10.

Aaron Keys crashed the boards hard and finished with six points. The Lady Knights dropped to the Lady Eagles 57 – 32. Grace Pattterson led the Lady Knights scoring ten points. Kylie Jones scored three buckets for six points. Olivia Jones tallied four points and Callie Stafford scored a basket early.

West Memphis Christian School Basketball travels next week for three games returning to the home court against Tunica Academy January 21 for Freshman night.

Winterfest court highlights the game against Rossvile Academy on January 24. Senior Night comes January 31, vs. Macon Road/Delta State.
