Martha Mae Holden, 97, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019. She was born on May 21, 1922, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to her late parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Worley.

Martha graduated with a Nursing degree at Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, Arkansas. She worked as a Nurse at Crittenden Memorial Hospital where eventually retired. Martha was a force to be reckoned with. She loved fishing and enjoyed taking fishing trips with her best friend, Estelle. Martha played basketball for the Dixie Travelers and also held a state record in Missouri for a 100-yard dash. In her free time, she loved spending time in her garden. Above all, she loved and adored her wonderful supportive family.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, son, Mike Morrison (Wanda) and Virgil Gaines (Debra); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Worley; her husband, Henry Holden; two sons, James Arthur Gaines and Darrell Gaines; one daughter, Janet Reece; and two brothers, Bill Hogan and A.C. Hogan.

Visitation will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 N Pine Street, West Memphis, on Friday, Dec. 13, and on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 to 11 a.m, with a funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. Online condolences may be made at rollerfuneralhomes.
