Switzer Shines at ASU

Marion’s own Anthony Switzer had six tackles and a pair of tackles-for-a-loss last week in Arkansas State University’s 38-14 win over Texas State. The former Patriot now showing his skills as a member of the Red Wolves was excited at the postgame press conference “This means a lot because not too many true freshman get to play, said Switzer. Matthew Schwartz of KAIT Region 8 Sports in Jonesboro highlighted Switzer’s performance, on the Region 8 web site, noting, “Former Marion Patriots standout Anthony Switzer is steadily becoming a contributor on the Arkansas State defense as a freshman.” The post included footage of A-State head coach Blake Anderson giving some high praise for his young defensive back.
