The West Memphis Christian Black Knights (06) will next take the field when they host the Delta Streets Academy Lions (0-6) of Greenwood, Miss., on Friday, Oct. 4 at home at Black Knights Field.

Game time is 7 p.m.

It’s Homecoming Night for WMCS, with pre-game and half-time festivities planned.

The Earle Bulldogs (3-1, 1-0 in 2A North) beat the Lee County Trojans 43-6 this past Friday at home to win their Homecoming

Game. Earle will

be back in action this week on the road in a 2A Conference game versus the Clarendon Lions (1-3, 0-1 in 2A North) on Friday, Oct. 4.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. in Clarendon.

• Big River Crossing Half-Marathon & 5K —

Run Across the Mississippi River in the Big River Crossing Half-Marathon & 5K. It’s time to start training for one of the coolest and most unique races in the area: The Big River Half-Marathon & 5K. This half-marathon is the only one of its kind to allow participants to cross the Arkansas- Tennessee state line via the Big River Crossing.

Both races begin at Tom Lee Park, but will take runners in two different directions. The 5K will direct runners through Downtown Memphis, and the half-marathon will bring runners down Riverside Drive, and then over Big River Crossing through the Big River Trail, a 7-mile paved path through the Arkansas floodplains with beautiful riverside views.

Sunday, Nov 2, — 5K starts at 8 a.m.; half-marathon starts at 8:30 a.m.
