The Junior Auxiliary of Crittenden County will be hosting a Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 30, at Meadowbrook Country Club in West Memphis. The four-player scramble will benefit JACC programs. • Big River Crossing Half-Marathon & 5K —

Run Across the Mississippi River in the Big River Crossing Half-Marathon & 5K. It’s time to start training for one of the coolest and most unique races in the area: The Big River Half-Marathon & 5K. This half-marathon is the only one of its kind to allow participants to cross the Arkansas- Tennessee state line via the Big River Crossing. Both races begin at Tom Lee Park, but will take runners in two different directions. The 5K will direct runners through Downtown Memphis, and the half-marathon will bring runners down Riverside Drive, and then over Big River Crossing through the Big River Trail, a 7-mile paved path through the Arkansas floodplains with beautiful riverside views. Sunday, Nov 2, — 5K starts at 8 a.m.; half-marathon starts at 8:30 a.m. ***
