Pleasant Plains MBC in Hughes, presents the 18th Anniversary Celebration for Dr. K.C. & First Lady McKenney Sunday, Sept. 15, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The theme is called “Called By God To Preach.”

Guest speakers will be Theodis Cochran of Trinity all Nations, Memphis and the Master of Ceremony will be Rev. Nathaniel Curne. All area churches are invited as well as the public. Colors for the event will be navy and pink.

• Join the Celebration — New Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church, 524 Will Lewis Rd., Proctor, will be celebrating its fourth church anniversary, Sunday beginning at 3 p.m.

Special guests will be Pastor Patrick Moody and the El Shaddai Ministry congregation of Marion. Other guests include: New Salem Church, Proctor, Keeping It Real Ministry, and Morning Star M.B. Church.

Everyone is invited to join in the celebration. The program is being sponsored by Pastor Betty Jenkins.

• Come Worship With Us — The Old St. Paul Church family has an open invitation to come and worship with them this Sunday beginning at 8:45 a.m. for Sunday school followed by worship service at 10 a.m.

Pastor Anthony will be preaching the word of God. Parents are invited to bring their children to Children Church held on the second floor of the new sanctuary for ages threeyears- old to the 6th grade.

Youth service will be held in the old sanctuary beginning at 10 a.m. Youth speaker will be Minister Darrell Anthony. Pastor Anthony is the guest speaker at Blessing Through Faith Ministries, Proctor.

• Annual Family and

Friends Day — House of Prayer, Church of God in Christ, 113 Wofford St., Edmondson, will be hosting their Annual Family And Friends Day Service, Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. Speaker will be Pastor Raymond Charles Govan with the Harvest Outreach Ministries, Jonesboro.

• Making Hope Contagious! — Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1105 Balfour Rd., West Memphis, will be hosting an auction Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor Billy Oyler invites the community to join him and Cornerstone members to this fundraiser.

Also, Oct. 4-6 Cornerstone will be hosting its annual fall revival. C.W.

Blood will be preaching with Glen and Leann Pool providing the music.

• Come and Be a Part — Pastor Arien K. Parham of I’m A Part M.B. Church, 600 Vanderbilt, is inviting one and all to participate in Sunday’s worship services Sunday. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. with worship services at 11 a.m.

Bible study is held every Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m.

• Benefit Program —

The United Fellowship Church, 2507 E. Barton St., West Memphis, will be having a Benefit Program Sunday, Sept. 15, beginning at 2 p.m. for minister Mark Williams and his family.

Guest speaker will be Pastor Ricky Reel along with his church family.

The host pastor will be Rev. A.L. Townsend, Jr.

• 10 Solos Day — New Zion Church, 310 E. Polk St., West Memphis will be hosting “10 Solos Day”, Sunday, Sept. 15.

Guest soloists include: Ira Pope of Powerhouse Agape, West Memphis, Dwandra Youth, R.B.

Carter of Heavenly Peace, Creola Reel of Old St. Paul Church along with Living Water Not Ashamed, Mitchell Collins and many others. Sponsor for the event will be Sis. C.

McClure. Pastor S.J. Parker invites one and all to this special day.

• Friends and Fellowship Day — Heavenly Peace Baptist Church, 902 E. Thompson St., West Memphis will host Friends and Fellowship Day, Sunday, Sept. 15, beginning at 10 a.m. Speakers will include Minister Melvin Stewart, 2nd St.

John MBC, West Memphis beginning at 10 a.m., and Pastor Donald Small with the New Clyde Ave. MBC, Memphis at 2:30 p.m.

Musical presentation will be provided by Heavenly Sounds of Earle, with host pastor being Rev. Gregory Powels.

• Birthday Celebration — The Greater St. Mark Christian Church family is inviting the public to come and worship with them Sunday at their new location, 208 S. 8th St. at the Step of Faith Church.

Pastor Raymond Shields will preach the sermon beginning at 9 a.m.

There will also be a celebration recognizing the church’s pastor, Rev. S.L.

Smith who will speak on the subject, “Happy Birthday” — John 3:7.

• Church Anniversary — Members of Divine Gateway Ministry, 1621 E. Broadway, West Memphis, will be celebrating their church’s anniversary Sunday, Sept. 15 beginning at 3 p.m.

Host pastors will be Otteria and Sharonda Berdin.

Guest church speaker will be Bishop Otis and Evangelist Margaret Davis with the First Baptist Church

• 29th Anniversary Event — A week long event celebrating the 29th anniversary for Pastor Lillian Hodges of Blessing Thru Faith Ministry began last Sunday and will continue through this Sunday. This Sunday’s celebration program will begin at 3 p.m.

featuring guest speaker, Dr. Mattie Brown, El Bethel Church, and Pastor F.S. Anthony.

Last Sunday’s celebration event featured Donald Chambers of the Deliverance Healing Center, Memphis; Wednesday’s speaker was Pastor Fredrick Dorsey, Greater Bethlehem, Proctor; Thursday’s speaker was Pastor Adam Davis and this Friday’s speaker is Pastor Sharandra Berdin with Divine Gateway Ministry. She will speak at 7 p.m.
