Tigers make offer to Reeves

More good news for the Marion basketball program. The Auburn Tigers have their eyes on one of the Patriots’ standouts from the 2019 State Championship squad. “He’s been called one of the best shooters in the country and now the Tigers have taken notice,” said Marion school board member Gary Wehrum, who knows a little about the hoops scene, having played for Arkansas State University back in the day. “Please join in congratulating Marion shooting guard Detrick Reeves, Jr., a senior this year, on receiving an offer to play for Auburn University!” Reeves (center) is pictured here with Auburn Head Boys Basketball Coach Bruce Pearl (blue jacket) and Marion Head Boys Basketball Coach David Clark (far right). “Congratulations, Mr. Reeves!” said Wehrum. “Here’s to an outstanding senior year and a lifetime of success.
