The water remains high and the ground is soaked, but the river will remain on the east side of the levee. Rob Rash, CEO for the St. Francis Levee District, reported Wednesday, “The Mississippi River at Memphis is at 31.57 feet, cresting at 34.5 feet on June 17th.” The City of West Memphis shared a photo from one of the St. Francis Levee District’s protected areas in West Memphis on Facebook with the message, “We are thankful for our flood control district and continue to pray for those residents and communities impacted by this historic flooding.”
